The Oklahoma Heritage Association and the Gaylord-Pickens Museum are offering scholarships to high school students all across the state.
More than $4 million will be available to students in each of Oklahoma's 77 counties through the scholarship competition that offers cash scholarships and tuition grants to those students who earn high scores on the examination.
Students earn the scholarships by taking a test that covers Oklahoma history and geography. The test is given on March 30 at 13 locations across the state.
Students in ninth through 12th grade are eligible to take the test. The deadline to register is March 20.
Up to eight students from each county could be awarded a scholarship or tuition grant.
A study guide, as well as a list of testing locations, is available on the Oklahoma Heritage website.
