I have become fascinated with the prospect of Glenn Beck's Independence, U.S.A. (aka Glennbeckistan). His Utopian dream will require everyone to follow his rules to a T. From what I have read, all residents will be free to do whatever they please without government intervention as long as it does not disagree with any of Beck's rules.

He said his free market community will ideally produce its own food and entertainment content and live in a city completely cut off from the rest of the world.

Beck described his imaginary community as having its own homes, baseball fields, a theme park, small businesses, news, information and technology, and education system. For example, only American-made products will be sold in the retail sites there.

I actually agree with that. Who needs cell phones, TVs, microwaves, dress shoes and toasters anyway? The teaching of evolutionary principles will be taboo and more than likely so will caffeine.

Oh, please, please, let Glenn Beck create his city and bring all his admirers to one place with their god and guns. They can the keep government off their backs by not accepting any federal aid, including Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. If voting exit polls are accurate in depicting their numbers, their absence will almost completely obliterate the federal deficit.
