EL PASO, Texas - D'Andre Wright came off the bench to score a career-high 25 points in leading the Golden Hurricane to a 74-70 win at UTEP on Saturday night.

The 6-foot-9 freshman from Lawton hit nine of his 12 shot attempts and 7-of-10 free throws in just 21 minutes Saturday.

It was his third game back from an injury that kept him out of action for more than a month.

TU held an eight-point lead at halftime, and UTEP tied the game with just over four minutes remaining before the Golden Hurricane pulled away.

The win snaps a three-game skid for TU, which returns home Feb. 16 to face Houston.

UTEP was led by 17 points from Konner Tucker, a Sapulpa native.
