Police have identified the woman who was fatally shot inside of a Tulsa apartment Sunday.

Emily Clark, 22, was pronounced dead after she was shot at the Addison Apartments, 10114 E. Admiral Blvd., around 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

Chiquita Bianca Bulger, 23, was arrested on a first-degree murder complaint, jail records show.

Bulger reportedly told witnesses she shot the victim because she “snitched, according to an arrest report.

A male witness told police the victim was sitting on a bar stool inside his mother’s apartment when Bulger approached the victim from behind and shot her, according to Bulger’s arrest report. Bulger then pointed the weapon at others inside the apartment before the witness took the gun from her.

The witness said his father took him and the children that were inside the apartment to another location. He later led police to a Dumpster, where they recovered a 9 mm handgun that was allegedly used to kill the victim, the arresting officer wrote.

A second witness told police she heard the gunshot and ran to the front of the apartment, where she heard her brother ask Bulger why she shot the victim. Bulger reportedly said the victim “snitched,” the report states. Detectives said Bulger gave inconsistent statements after initially telling them she was alone with the victim in the apartment’s kitchen when the front door opened and someone shot the woman.

Police are "working on several theories" and said they were unsure "what the real reason was" for the homicide, Sgt. Dave Walker said early Monday. Walker said police had spoke with Clark earlier that day in at 10069 N. East Ave., during "a mundane police contact." Clark, who relocated to Tulsa from Neosho, Mo., first established contact with Tulsa police last October, Walker said.

Bulger remains at the Tulsa Jail. A bond amount has not been set on the murder complaint. She is also being held on an outstanding warrant for larceny from a retailer.

Bulger pleaded guilty to embezzlement of less than $500 in 2009.

Clark is the 13th person slain in Tulsa this year.
