Tulsa man charged with rape six years after incident

A Tulsa man accused of raping a female relative nearly six years ago was arrested Tuesday.
Kevin Shupe, now 24, was charged with second-degree rape Monday, Tulsa County District Court records show.
Prosecutors allege Shupe raped the 14-year-old in May 2007, the same month he turned 19.
Police said the incident wasn’t reported until December.
The statute of limitations for second-degree rape is 12 years.
Shupe was booked into the Tulsa Jail at 1 a.m. Tuesday. He is being held on $25,000 bond.
