A previously convicted sex offender was charged Tuesday with two counts of child sexual abuse.

Marty Perry Brooks, 49, of Broken Arrow is accused of sexual contact with a girl who was between the ages of 9 and 11 years old in late 2011 or early 2012, court filings show.

LaChelle Victoria Brooks, 29, of Bixby is charged with permitting child sexual abuse in the case. She was arrested and booked into the Tulsa Jail Wednesday afternoon on $50,000 bond.

Marty Brooks served nearly 10 consecutive years in prison total after separate rape convictions in Creek and Okmulgee counties in 1991 and 1992. He also was convicted of forcible sodomy, rape by instrumentation, arson, first-degree burglary and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

He was released from prison in 2003 and was to remain on probation until October.

A judge issued arrest warrants for Marty and LaChelle Brooks on Tuesday.

Court records describe Brooks as a white man with brown hair and blue eyes. He is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds.
