The Big 12 Conference basketball race will be a sprint to the finish.

Six schools are within two games of first place in the league standings and the next four weeks will be filled with plenty of important games and scoreboard watching.

"Every coach is just trying to make sure their team is one of the teams in the hunt and trying to win the next game," Baylor coach Scott Drew said on Monday.

"If you look at the conference races across the board, we probably have a better race this year and closer parity within the conference as we've had in a long time."
