OK Play! Children's Expo returns to the Tulsa Convention Center for its third annual event April 19-20.

The free event, presented by St. John Health System, focuses on various educational and developmental experiences. Hands-on activities and educational exhibits are part of the event, as well as vendors selling products and services for children and families.

Vendors and exhibitors at OK Play! are divided into three zones - science and discovery, sports and fitness, and creative arts. Inflatable games will also be available for children. This year's activities will include golf lessons, demonstrations from a local high school robotics team and live performances.

Organizers said the event was moved from June to April this year to allow parents more time to benefit from some of the information on summer camps and activities, as well as to open it up to schools for potential field trips.

"The expo is a terrific opportunity for children to learn and play while showcasing the Tulsa community's summer activities and programs to keep their child engaged throughout the year," said Jeff Nickler, assistant general manager of SMG Tulsa, the company that manages the Tulsa Convention Center.

Organizers expect more than 50 vendors to participate this year, and at least 7,500 people to attend the event.

Event coordinators are currently accepting applications from vendors and exhibitors.
