I have read the Tulsa World recently from cover to cover and failed to find one word concerning what Gov. Sam Brownback and the Kansas Legislature have done to the Kansas school system. This is a crime to the school system, pupils, and teachers.
Why have states declared war on education? Where is the outrage? I have no children going to school at this time, however, I do have grandchildren and great-grandchildren and I am vitally interested in what legislators have in mind for them. Please do everyone a favor and report what is going on in U.S. schools.
Editor's note: World Senior Writer Wayne Greene reported on the Kansas school-funding crisis in his Sept. 23 "Political Report."
