Joel Robert Johnson, beloved son, husband, father, and grandfather, passed from this life on Tuesday, February 5, 2013. Joel was preceded in death by his mother, Bettye Johnson of Broken Arrow, OK, and his father, Leonard Johnson, also of Broken Arrow, OK. He is survived by his loving wife, Stacy Johnson, of Weatherford, OK; daughter, Tiffany Boes and husband Matthew Boes of Sapulpa and grandchildren, Alexis and Ethan Boes also of Sapulpa. Joel was born October 28, 1957 in Broken Arrow, OK. He graduated from Broken Arrow High School in 1976. He went on to join the U.S. Navy in 1983. Joel and Stacy were married in Tulsa, OK, on May 25, 1990. They spent the majority of their married life in Tulsa and recently moved to Weatherford, OK. He spent many years working as a Stationary Engineer; most recently working for Conoco Phillips as a Project Lead in Elk City. He enjoyed boating and fishing, especially at Eufaula Lake. Services will be held at 2:30 pm, Friday, February 15, at Fellowship Bible Church, 5434 East 91st Street, Tulsa, OK 74137. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
