Chance of flurries overnight Friday in Tulsa area

Sunny days and mostly cloudy nights are forecast for the Tulsa area for the next week, with few exceptions.

The National Weather Service forecasts a chance of flurries Friday night, with cloudy skies gradually clearing toward daybreak in Tulsa.

Tulsa also has a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms forecast Monday.

Tulsa received 0.1 of an inch of snow and trace amounts of freezing precipitation Wednesday, as well as 0.39 of an inch of liquid precipitation. Normal rainfall for this time of February is 0.76 of an inch.

Highs in the 60s are forecast for today and Sunday, with highs in the 40s forecast for Friday, Saturday and Monday in Tulsa.

Tulsa's overnight lows are expected to reach the 20s through Saturday night, when lows are forecast for the 30s. Lows are forecast to rise to the 40s Sunday night, then return to the 30s Monday night, according to the weather service.

Tulsa's highest temperature so far this month was 69 degrees on Feb. 5. The lowest was 16 degrees on Feb. 1.
