A pretty big game Thursday at the Lloyd Noble Center, at least in terms of the Big 12 Conference race. Oklahoma owns second place behind Baylor with an 8-3 mark. Iowa State comes to Norman 8-4. The Sooners dropped their game in Ames on Jan. 15. They don't want to be swept by the Cyclones and risk losing a tiebreaker, should the two teams wind up tied. Texas Tech is lurking at 8-5. The key is finishing second or third and avoiding Baylor's half of the draw at the Big 12 tournament next month.

The key for the Sooners Thursday is picking up where they left off against Oklahoma State last Sunday. They took a close game at the half and rolled to a 49-33 advantage after the break. Aaryn Ellenberg hit shots. Morgan Hook played under control. Sharane Campbell and Joanna McFarland grabbed every rebound. And center Nicole Griffin dominated on her way to a career-high 21 points.

Campbell scored 19 in OU's 82-61 loss at Iowa State a month ago, but it was an otherwise uninspired effort for the Sooners.
