Vera Pauline (Conrad) Ellis was born February 13, 1922, in Mexia, TX to Thomas Watson and Esther (Tracy) Conrad and passed from this life on February 11, 2013, in Weatherford, TX at the age of 90. Pauline began work for Carter Oil Company in Tulsa, OK and continued working for thirty years through several mergers finally retiring from Exxon Oil Corporation in 1978. Whether working or retired, she was always busy with needlework and handcrafts of all kinds. She enjoyed travel to many places in the United States. Her favorite trips included a trip to Hawaii and another trip to Australia, New Zealand and several other Pacific Islands. She had a sweet, loving, and giving spirit. She will be missed. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Betty Conrad. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Drs. Michael and Sharon Ellis of Nashville, TN; son and daughter-in-law Dan and Joyce Ellis of Weatherford, TX; and daughter and son-in-law, Cherie and Jack Kendrick of Weatherford, TX. She is also survived by grandchildren Jason Ellis of Santa Fe, NM; April and husband Pat Knauss and great-grandchildren Morgan Ellis and Patrick Knauss of Arbata, CO; and Adriane and husband Josh Arnold and great-grandchildren Sterling Kendrick and Ian, Hailey and Johnathan Arnold of Fort Lewis, WA. A celebration of Pauline’s life will be held Sunday, February 17, at 1:30 pm at Martin Crest Assisted Living, Weatherford, TX and a graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm, at Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa, OK.
