OKLAHOMA CITY - A mother is accused of beating her child with a belt and an electrical cord because the girl came home from school with a temporary tattoo on her neck to cover up a hickey, police said Friday.
Apollonia Medrano, 26, of Oklahoma City, was arrested Thursday on two complaints of child abuse after police found welts, scratches and bruises on her daughters, ages 10 and 11, according to the police report.
The 11-year-old girl called police about 5:30 p.m. and said her mother beat her with a belt and an electrical cord after discovering the hickey on her neck, according to the report.
