Steven Roundtree saw action for the first time since the Dec. 22 game against Tulsa. Roundtree, a 6-foot-8, 190-pound junior forward, played 22 minutes, finished with two points, four rebounds, two assists and one blocked shot.
First time: Redshirt freshman D.J. Jackson and Korey Billbury started together for the first time this season.
Being without Glover: The Golden Eagles had to play without the services of Shawn Glover, who was injured in last Saturday's 77-67 loss at Stephen F. Austin.
Glover, a 6-7, 195-pound junior forward, had led ORU in scoring in three of their previous five games, but sat out after sustaining an injury to his left eye.
"We lose one of the best scorers in the conference," Sutton said. "He's played like an all-conference player ever since conference (play) started. He's been a nightmare for defensively opponents, because he can step put and shoot the ball and use his quickness. He can post up smaller guards, so we lose a lot."
Sweep complete: With Thursday night's win against Sam Houston State, the Golden Eagles completed a season sweep of the Bearkats. ORU won 65-61 in overtime when the teams played on Jan. 19 in Huntsville, Texas.
