Report of loud music leads cops to pot; woman jailed
A Tulsa woman's children were taken into protective custody when she was jailed early Friday on complaints of child endangerment and cultivation of marijuana in the presence of minors.
Veronica Thompson, 21, was arrested after police officers went to her home in the 1000 block of North Irvington Avenue in response to a dispute over loud music late Thursday, records show.
Thompson's arrest report states that while officers were conducting a "protective sweep" of her residence, they discovered a marijuana plant and growing lamp "sitting in plain view" in a bedroom closet.
Thompson's two children were in the residence at the time and were placed in state custody at the Laura Dester Emergency Children's Shelter, according to the arrest report.
Thompson was in the Tulsa Jail on Friday evening, jail records showed.

Man charged in holdups at two Tulsa restaurants
A Tulsa man was charged Friday with robbing two local restaurants last month.
Daniel Ryan McNamara, 28, was charged in Tulsa County District Court with robbing the Pie Hole Pizzeria, 2708 E. 15th St., on Jan. 28 and the Subway at 738 W. 23rd St. on Jan. 31.
His arrest report says an employee was able to get a partial tag number from the vehicle in which the robber fled, and McNamara was arrested while getting out of a stolen vehicle in the 5800 block of South 49th West Avenue on the day of the Subway robbery.
A Subway employee identified McNamara as the robber, according to the report.
During the Pie Hole robbery, a worker was pepper-sprayed, police said.
McNamara was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon in connection with that robbery. The charges describe the pepper spray as the dangerous weapon.
McNamara also was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, second-degree burglary and a misdemeanor count of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was in the Tulsa Jail on Friday night.
