An arson charge was filed against a Tulsa who reportedly set fire to a duplex last week.

Mark Paul Prestage, 40, is charged with a single count of first-degree arson, according to Tulsa County District Court filings.

Prosecutors Friday alleged Prestage intentionally burned a duplex in the 100 block of North Delaware Place on Feb. 10.

When firefighters arrived at the duplex, they found Prestage outside the residence bleeding from the neck, according to an arrest report.

While being treated by emergency responders, Prestage allegedly stated: "I did it. I set the fire."

Investigators found a gas can in the duplex and an "ignitable liquid in several locations inside the duplex," the report said.

Prestage remains in the Tulsa Jail with bail set at $20,000.
