CLAREMORE – A Tulsa County man accused of using Facebook to lure a 12-year-old girl into a meeting for a sexual encounter is free on $25,000 bail, the Rogers County Sheriff’s Department confirmed on Sunday.
Jeffrey Adam Riggs, 29, of Tulsa was picked up Friday evening on an outstanding warrant of soliciting sexual conduct or communication with a minor by use of technology.
A felony charge was filed in Rogers County District Court.
The child alerted her mother after a man tried to befriend her on Facebook, according to a prepared statement released by District Janice Steidley’s office.
The mother posed as her daughter and notified Verdigris Police Department when the man allegedly tried to arrange to meet the girl for sex, Stiedley said.
