Don't think too hard about how much that Valentine's Day gift you received last week cost. According to a new survey by priceline.com, 69 percent of all shoppers admitted to bargain hunting when shopping for their special someone's gifts, and it's no surprise that the bargain hunters believe "it's the thought that counts" - 71 percent said they had no intention of letting on how much they saved on their gifts.

The survey was conducted Feb. 13 and included more than 2,300 responses.

Here are the results for what people thought was "very romantic" for Valentine's Day:

86 percent: overnight stay in a luxury hotel
60 percent: dinner
57 percent: jewelry
51 percent: flowers
25 percent: a Valentine's Day card
18 percent: chocolate
12 percent: clothing
