A Broken Arrow sex offender who had been wanted by police on child sex-abuse charges was arrested Tuesday.

Marty Perry Brooks, 49, was booked into the Tulsa Jail on two counts of sexual abuse of a child younger than 12, jail records show.

Brooks was charged Feb. 12 on allegations that he had sexual contact with a girl between the ages of 9 and 11 between 2011 and 2012, Tulsa County District Court filings show.

LaChelle Victoria Brooks, 29, of Bixby, is charged with permitting child sexual abuse in connection with the case. She was arrested Feb. 13.

Marty Brooks served a total of nearly 10 years in prison after separate rape convictions in Creek and Okmulgee counties in 1991 and 1992. He also has convictions for forcible sodomy, rape, arson and burglary, court records show.

He was released from prison in 2003 and was to remain on probation until October.

He was in the Tulsa Jail on Tuesday in lieu of $100,000 bail.
