The Tulsa area has many unique places to dine, often located away from heavy-traffic areas and hot-spot neighborhoods.

The diverse tastes of these restaurants span the globe, from jalea de mariscos, a fabulous South American fried seafood dish at Mi Tierra, to three-way chili at the 100-year-old Ike’s Chili Parlor and chicken tikka masala at India Palace.

Here are some of those restaurants favored by locals.
