Oklahoma
Record: 6-0
Looking ahead: No. 14 Oklahoma will hit the road with a weekend trip to Corpus Christi, Texas, where it will face Iowa, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and New Mexico.
Looking back: The Sooners started the season perfect with four victories over Hofstra (including two walk-off wins) and a double-header triumph against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
Notable: Infielder Matt Oberste was named the Big 12 player of the week, while lefty Dillon Overton was named the league's pitcher of the week ... Oberste is hitting .455 with two homers, dozen RBIs and team-high five extra-base hits in six games ... Overton is 2-0 with a 1.12 ERA with seven strikeouts in eight innings pitched.
Oklahoma State
Record: 4-1
Looking ahead: The Cowboys continue their 26-game homestand with a three-game set against NJIT this weekend. There won't be a Friday game, but a Saturday doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. due to weather. Arkansas-Little Rock will visit Reynolds Stadium on Wednesday.
Looking back: OSU opened Josh Holliday's debut season as head coach by taking two of three at New Mexico and a double-header sweep against visiting Alcorn State.
Notable: Tanner Krietemeier has made a sparkling OSU debut with 11 singles and a team-high .550 batting average ... RHP Jon Perrin (1-0) has had a strong start with a 1.93 ERA in 9 1/3 IP ... RHP Randy McCurry (1-0) hasn't allowed an earned run in 5 2/3 IP.
Oral Roberts
Record: 1-3
Looking ahead: ORU, under first-year coach Ryan Folmar, faces its first road trip with a three-game set at Louisiana Tech, followed by a Tuesday trip to Wichita State.
Looking back: The Golden Eagles dropped two of three contests in their season-opening series against visiting Saint Louis. ORU fell 5-4 on Tuesday against Wichita State.
Notable: Senior Nate Goro, who hit .213 in 2012, has started strong with a team-high .467 average ... Jose Trevino is hitting .385 including two extra-base hits ... RHP Tim Zufall has the staff's only victory, throwing seven scoreless innings against Saint Louis.
