Writer-director Roman Coppola, son of the famed director Francis Ford Coppola and an Oscar nominee himself on Sunday night, will Skype with and answer questions from a Circle Cinema audience between showings of his new film Friday.

Roman Coppola is nominated along with Wes Anderson at the Academy Awards on Sunday in the best original screenplay category for their film "Moonrise Kingdom." Coppola previously co-wrote "The Darjeeling Limited" with Anderson.

He will answer audience questions via Skype between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Friday showings of his new film, "A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III," a comedy starring Charlie Sheen, Jason Schwartzman, Patricia Arquette and Bill Murray.

The Skype is likely to begin about 7:30 p.m. at Circle Cinema, 10 S. Lewis Ave., and audiences attending either the 6 p.m. or 8 p.m. screenings may attend the Skype session.

When Francis Ford Coppola - who previously Skyped with a Circle Cinema audience in 2009 - shot his pair of movies based on S.E. Hinton novels in Tulsa, his then-teen son was involved in both pictures. Roman Coppola is credited as a production assistant on "The Outsiders" and as an associate producer of "Rumble Fish."

Roman Coppola, who has previously directed all of the music videos for the band The Strokes, is also known for producing his sister Sofia Coppola's film "Somewhere," performing visual effects on his father's film "Dracula" and for his youth acting (as a young, curly-headed Sonny Corleone) in "The Godfather, Part II."
