18-7 overall, 7-7 Big 12

Catching up: The 23rd-ranked Cowgirls dominated Kansas State on Saturday, with all five starters scoring in double figures in the 80-45 win. On Wednesday, OSU was upset 64-63 by TCU, which picked up its first Big 12 victory.

Player to watch: Senior forward Toni Young has recorded three consecutive double-doubles, including a 23-point, 18-rebound performance against the Wildcats. She has scored in double digits in 33 straight games.

Notes

Winless in Fort Worth: Although TCU is new to the Big 12, OSU had faced the Horned Frogs in nonconference action on four previous occasions. Splitting the season series, the Cowgirls have won all four games in Stillwater but lost both meetings in Fort Worth. The other loss was in 2007.

On Wednesday, OSU had its largest lead, 63-53, with five minutes left but didn't have a field goal the rest of the game.

"You cannot waste possessions with the game on the line, and we wasted numerous possessions that ended up in a 10-0 run," coach Jim Littell said.

Rare visits: Against the Horned Frogs, the Cowgirls attempted only six free throws - four from Young and two from Liz Donohoe - and all came in the second half.

Poll results: With Wednesday's loss, OSU will likely fall out of the Associated Press Top 25 for the first time this season. Since peaking at No. 12 last month, the team has lost five of its past nine games.

Up next: The Cowgirls host Oklahoma at 2 p.m. Saturday.
