Roy Eugene Fields, beloved employee of Jack Wills Outdoor Living for 18 years, passed away on Tuesday, February 19th, 2013, at the age of 60. Born October 7, 1952, in Parsons, KS to Melvin and Mary Fields, Roy was the second youngest of 5. Raised near Bartlesville, OK, Roy was an avid outdoorsman from an early age. He graduated from Okmulgee High School in 1970 and joined the Okmulgee Police Department around 1973, serving there as a patrolman, on an interagency drug task force, and later as a Detective. He was re- membered as “one fine officer” by his former Chief of Police. He is survived by two sisters, Sandra Lynch and Delores Sanders of New Smyrna Beach, FL, two brothers, Melvin Fields Jr. of Oklahoma City, OK and Billy Fields of Little Rock, AR, one son, Mark Fields, his daughter-in-law Jessica Fields, and one granddaughter, Sophia Jane Fields, all of Oklahoma City. A celebration of Roy’s life will be held at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel, 3612 E. 91st St. South on Saturday, February 23rd at 4:30 PM.
