The Tulsa Shock announced Friday that it has re-signed veteran guard Doneeka Lewis. Lewis played in five games with the Shock in 2011, averaging 6.2 points and 2.8 assists.
She is the twin sister of Shock guard Roneeka Hodges. She currently plays for Canik Bld in Turkey, averaging 15.4 points.
"She is having an excellent year playing overseas and I know she will come into camp ready to battle for a roster spot," Shock coach Gary Kloppenburg said.
The 5-foot-9 Lewis will likely get a look at point guard with the Shock losing veteran guards Temeka Johnson and Ivory Latta to free agency.
The Shock now has 12 players under contract. It is allowed 15 in training camp, which starts around May 1. The regular-season limit is 11.
