1. Fans flock to Wolf Creek launch site
The launch site at Wolf Creek Park and Boat Ramp attracted the largest Day One crowd many BASS watchers ever have seen. Local organizers have adjusted parking plans and added shuttle buses to accommodate larger-than-expected crowds Saturday and Sunday.
2. Horse Creek, it's more than you'd expect
Fans will hear that local favorite Jason Christie frequented Horse Creek, but don't think for a minute he was "up in" Horse Creek. The area considered "the creek" extends to a wide area where it blends with the main body of the lake.
3. Main points vs. secondary points
All those tiny jagged lines on the map translate into thousands of points and coves. Lower Grand Lake has tons of them. "Main-lake" means it's a point that touches the main body of the lake. Anglers also talk about "main-lake secondary points," which are smaller points off a larger outcropping.
