Peoria Ave.
The society is getting
feedback from the Missouri
Valley Convention about last
fall’s success, so don’t miss

The sale offers a wide
variety of African violets and
some related family plants, as
well. For the best selection of
plants, get there early.
In years past, the society
has sold out by lunch time.
In addition to the African
violets and other gesneriads,
there will be a demonstration
on how to start the plants
from leaves, pot them and
maintain them. Everything
you need to plant and take
care of your flowers will be

MARCH 2
First Annual Mulch Day, 9 a.m.
Woodward Park, 21st Street and
Peoria Avenue
The public is invited to
this inaugural event. Meet
and work side-by-side with
the gardeners who maintain
Woodward Park and
help beautify it by mulching
the azaleas. As part
of the park’s renovation,
significant replanting of its
azaleas has occurred, and
the new planted and alreadyestablished
plants will need
a good mulch cover to ensure
their vitality. Mulch helps
soil retain moisture and keep
plant root systems warm in
the winter and cool in the
summer.
Help the azaleas produce
their best color display this
spring and grow lush and
healthy throughout the summer.
No registration is needed,
just show up and meet in the
Tulsa Garden Center parking
lot.
