Ricketts, Sooners shut out Florida St.

Keilani Ricketts threw a complete game, one-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts to lead the No. 1 Sooners to a 6-0 win over No. 23 Florida State at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic on Saturday in Palm Springs, Calif.
Oklahoma improved to 15-0 and 7-0 against ranked teams. OU is outscoring top-25 teams 47-0 on the year.
FSU fell to 9-4.
Shelby Pendley went 3-3 with an RBI and run scored to lead the Sooner offense.
Tulsa wins two: In Austin, Texas, the No. 24-ranked Tulsa softball team defeated Lamar 11-3 before blanking Utah State in bracket play 3-0 to advance to the championship game of the Texas Invitational.
The Golden Hurricane (11-3) will face No. 6 Texas at 10 a.m. Sunday on the Longhorn Network (Cox cable 274).
In TU's first game of the day, the Hurricane roared past Lamar in five innings. Junior Aime Creger (6-0) pitched four innings allowing four hits, three runs while striking out five.
Shortstop Samantha Cobb hit her second home run of the weekend with a two-run shot in the first inning.
In Tulsa's second game, junior Lacey Middlebrooks pitched a two-hit shutout over Utah State. Middlebrooks struck out 10.
UCLA 5, OSU 1: In Cathedral City, Calif., No. 13 UCLA beat Oklahoma State in the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic.
UCLA (11-1) got out to a quick start, scoring two runs in the bottom of the first. The Cowgirls (7-6) cut the deficit in half with a run in the top of the second.
