Track and field: ORU wins pair of men’s individual events at Southland meet

Oral Roberts University’s Jeffrey Gibson and Tyler Banks won their respective running events at
Saturday’s Southland Conference Indoor Championship
meet in Norman. Gibson won the 400-meter dash in a
time of 47.53 seconds, while Banks took the 800-meter dash in 1:53.47.
The Golden Eagles were sixth in the men’s standings
with 61 points. The ORU women’s team placed fifth
with 57 points. Stephen F. Austin won both the men’s and women’s team titles.
