Question of the day

What did you come to buy or see Sunday?

"Rods. I bought nine, but I got six of them free. This is awesome. We go every year (to the Bassmaster Classic)."

Brad Porter, Mount Vernon, Ill.

"I didn't come to buy anything, but to see the pros who are able to sign autographs. I'm looking for Skeet Reese right now."

David Cashmore, Bixby

"We came to see the anglers, buy some lures and a tackle box. Also, we wanted to introduce him (youngster Crew Peters) to fishing."

Breann Peters, Maud

"We came to get Bill Dance's autograph yesterday and waited 45 minutes, but he had to leave. Today, (daughter) Ashlyn got it this morning."

Mrs. Tony Hodges, Duncan

"I came to see Kevin VanDam. He's cool. He was in 15th place (at one point Sunday) and now is in eighth (at 11 a.m.)."

9 1/2 -year-old Clement Logan, Clyde, Texas

Gadget of the Day

Baitanator

A new self-baiting device using a short tube with hooks on the end. Made mainly for catfishing, but also can be used for carp and trout. The spring action pushes the food down the tube as it is eaten so you can fish longer or until the fish gets hooked. For more, visit baitanator.com
