The Sooners played Baylor as competitive as they have the past couple years on Jan. 26. OU stayed within single digits the first three quarters until the defending national champs went on a 14-2 run. Guard Aaryn Ellenberg poured in a season-high 33 points, and the Sooners knocked in 11 3-pointers. A confidence builder? Perhaps. They could sure use some, having dropped three of four games.
The latest was an 83-62 setback at Oklahoma State on Saturday. OU shot 36 percent, and was outrebounded 49-36. "We have to regroup and compete," Sherri Coale said. If that does not happen tonight, it won't be a competitive game as it was in Waco last month.
