TU women fall to Tulane

NEW ORLEANS, La. - Taleya Mayberry had a team-leading 13 points in the University of Tulsa women's basketball team's 74-59 loss to Tulane on Sunday.
Mayberry also had five assists, while Kelsee Grovey added 11 points for TU (11-15 overall, 6-7 Conference USA).
Tiffani Couisnard pulled down 12 rebounds and had four steals.
Tulsa trailed by two, 34-32, at the half, but the Green Wave (20-6, 9-4) started the third quarter on a 15-5 run. The Hurricane struggled to find the basket, going 1-for-7 in the first eight minutes.
The Green Wave climbed to a game-high 21-point lead with 6:44 left to play and came away with the 15-point victory.
Tulane was led by Olivia Grayson with 20 points, 10 rebounds and four assists.
Tulsa plays next at 7 p.m. Thursday against Memphis at the Reynolds Center.
