Oklahoma City police: Woman's wish to go to jail granted after she punches officer

OKLAHOMA CITY - A woman who said she wanted to go to jail instead of the city's detox center got her wish when she punched an officer in the face, Oklahoma City police said.
Ashley Lauren Evans, 18, a transient, was arrested Sunday on complaints of assault and battery on a public official and public drunkenness, according to a police report released Tuesday.
Officer Wilner Laguerre, 40, picked up Evans from Integris Baptist Hospital, 3300 Northwest Expressway, where she was found to be intoxicated on methamphetamines, according to the report.
