BENNINGTON — Authorities said a Bryan County man was acting in self defense when he shot and killed two men who entered his home last week.
Bryan County Sheriff Ken Golden said no charges will be filed against Rodney Andrews in the deaths of 66-year-old Gary Robison and 35-year-old Bradley Rader.
Golden tells the Durant Daily Democrat that Robison, Rader and a juvenile went to Andrews' home to confront him about an alleged assault. Deputies said Andrews shot Robison and Rader after they entered the home, but the juvenile wasn't injured.
Although Andrews won't face charges in the fatal shootings, authorities did arrest him on complaints of manufacturing methamphetamine and unlawful use of a police radio. He remains jailed on $100,000 bond. Authorities did not know if he had an attorney.
