'Gator Boys' star to appear at Outdoor Sporting Expo this weekend in Claremore

CLAREMORE - The Outdoor Sporting Expo will be at the Claremore Expo Center this weekend.

Numerous exhibitors and vendors featuring fishing, hunting, hiking and other outdoor equipment and services will be at the center, 400 Veterans Parkway in Claremore, Friday through Sunday. Seminars, celebrity appearances and giveaways also will be part of the event.

Jimmy Riffle, star of Animal Planet's reality television show "Gator Boys," will be among the celebrities at the event. Attendees will get the chance to meet Riffle and get autographs on Saturday.

Professional angler Tommy Biffle will conduct Bass Tub demonstrations and visit with fans on Friday. And Oklahoma state champion noodler and professional hunter Kaleb Summers will host seminars all weekend.

North Carolina's BMX Stunt Team "Rise Above" will also give demonstrations. And children will get the chance to experience archery during hands-on archery demonstrations throughout the event.

Hours are noon to 9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for youth and seniors, and free for kids younger than 10. Sunday is Family Day with half-price admission.
