Letter to the Editor: Amused

On most days the Tulsa World editorial staff throws some liberal spin together on an issue they feel conservative Oklahomans should consider. We get a good laugh and wonder how we deserve such liberal tripe. Most amusing, these summary rants go unsigned. We don't know if this is some sort of group think or if this is something more easily understood like; it's Tuesday, you're it.

To summarize sequester in basic math the facts are: The current annual federal budget is $3.6 trillion. The projected budget deficit is more than $1 trillion. The budget cuts in sequester are $110 billion. To a family that is the equivalent of arguing over the fact we want to spend $3.60.

We only have $2.60. We think we cannot live without spending $0.11 and find it is prudent to borrow the full $1.00 rather than $0.89.

Who is more foolish, those in Congress who cannot find $0.11 out of $3.60 they can cut, or, the Tulsa World editorial writers who think it is worth telling us we should not cut any of the $0.11 because Oklahomans might be affected. Group think? Whoever drew Tuesday? We had a good laugh.
