Charles E. “Pete” Tucker, Jr., age 47, of Independence, KS, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the First Christian Church in Independence. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions be made to the Tucker Children Memorial Fund and they may be sent to Webb Family Funeral Service, 1475 S. 10th, Independence, KS, 67301. He was an army veteran, attaining the rank of Master Sergeant and was the unit administrator of the 1011th Supply Co. Survivors in addition to the wife, Wencie, include: two sons; Chase H. Tucker and Charlie Agosto Tucker of the home, mother; Bonnie Tucker of Independence, KS, grandmother; Lillian Moyer, Independence, KS, sister; Christy Frisbie, Sand Springs, OK, aunt; Kathy Kinnamon, Independence, KS.
