11th Street near Yale to close tonight for storm sewer work

The city of Tulsa announced that East 11th Street will be closed just west of South Yale Avenue at approximately 7 p.m. tonight.
According to a news release, the contractor working on an 11th and Yale intersection street project will install a storm sewer during the street closure.
The area is scheduled to reopen in time for morning commute on Monday, officials said.
This project, scheduled for September completion, includes Vision 2025 Route 66 enhancements, such as Route 66 shields in the pavement, brick paver sidewalks on the corners, decorative fencing at the northeast and northwest corners of the intersection, a centennial clock and plaques commemorating the history of Route 66.
