As Oklahomans we should all feel very lucky to have the top state leadership that we have. We have a governor who sets the standard by letting us all pay millions in taxes to pay for other states' health care through the Affordable Care Act, and let 180,000 needy Oklahomans be sick or die.
She sets the example for our beloved attorney general who is the only attorney general out of 50 states to opt out of the national home mortgage settlement. The Oklahoma portion of the settlement was projected to be $28 million and that just was not good enough for our fine state. Our attorney general's negotiation skills have resulted in 271 cases settled for an average of $11,000 each which equals just shy of $3 million. I guess we showed those "stinking feds."
These two fine individuals deserve our support and I am certain that as a result of their extraordinary work and concern for the citizens of Oklahoma they will both have tremendous political futures ahead of them. They will certainly have my vote.
