Ward Ulmer, died on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at the age of 82. He was born on June 28, 1930, to Maud and Ward Ulmer, Sr. in Sayre, OK. He is survived by his wife, Estelle; children, Kathy and Nick Bottroff, Craig Ulmer; eight grandchildren; his brother, Earl Ulmer of California. Ward served in the Korean Conflict with the 45th Oklahoma National Guard. He was awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze Service Star Medals. After graduation from Southwestern State College, he joined the accounting department of Standard Oil/AMOCO. He worked at Standard Oil/ AMOCO until his retirement in 1985. Ward met Estelle Wallace, August 21, 1955, and they were married 58 years. He faithfully attended Parkview Baptist Church for 45 years. He was a quiet Godly man of character and integrity who will be greatly missed by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Parkview Baptist Church All Star Children’s Basketball Program. Service will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Parkview Baptist Church.
