Letter to the Editor: More thoughts on carts

My neighbors now put out their trash carts weekly and the carts aren't full; this includes the senior citizens who cannot handle the size of the cart. The question to be asked is what if the whole city did that in protest of the large carts.

The excuse of more time and money for pick-ups is lame. The trucks are driving down the streets anyway.

Getting people to take part in the recycle program was the aim of the new trash program. These carts now sit outside because of their size. It has been a large and cumbersome program that didn't quite get the forethought it needed. Consideration should be made for smaller carts. If not the above-mentioned protest could become real and then see how they handle that. Just some additional thoughts on the subject.
