Something will be at stake when ORU - in its next-to-last game of the regular season - goes on the road to face Lamar.

The Southland Conference's top two teams will be rewarded with byes into the semifinal round of the league's postseason tournament.

ORU entered the weekend in third place, but can move into bye territory with a victory Saturday.

If the Golden Eagles beat Lamar and Sam Houston State loses at home to Southeastern Louisiana, Misti Cussen's team will be alone in first place - one-half game ahead of Lamar and Sam Houston State.

If ORU beats Lamar and Sam Houston State wins, the Golden Eagles will be alone in second place.

A loss could drop ORU into third or fourth place.

ORU, riding a 20-point performance from Taylor Cooper and a double-double from Sarah Shelton, rolled to a 77-48 homecourt victory over Lamar on Jan. 24.
