Okarche's five starters had been dreaming about this moment for a long time.

The group of underclassmen who consider themselves best friends - three are cousins - had long dreamed of celebrating a basketball state championship on the floor of State Fair Arena.

Saturday, they got their moment as the Lady Warriors beat Cheyenne/Reydon 59-45 to win the Class A championship.

"It's so much better than I ever thought it could be," Madi Grellner said. "I've been dreaming of this moment for so long and for it to finally happen is amazing."
