Gov. Mary Fallin's rejection of expanded Medicaid has resulted in the resignation of the CEO of the Oklahoma Health Care Authority that oversees Medicaid for the working poor in Oklahoma.
Mike Fogarty has, through experience since 1999, become the most knowledgeable person on the health-care needs of the poor and working poor in Oklahoma. Mike's knowledge and concern for those with income below or just above the poverty level is far superior to any political consultant the governor might hire to study the health-cCare needs of Oklahomans.
Mike's service to Oklahomans in need of health care will be missed.
