OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma Transportation Commission is scheduled to discuss the hiring of a new director to replace outgoing Transportation Secretary Gary Ridley.
The commission will meet for its regular meeting Monday in Oklahoma City.
The commission also is expected to be briefed on the transportation department's work to remove snow and ice after a major winter storm that closed several highways in western and northwestern Oklahoma.
Ridley will also deliver his final report as Oklahoma Department of Transportation director, updating commissioners on the reconstruction of interstates in Tulsa, including a new eastbound Interstate 244 across the Arkansas River.
Ridley has worked for ODOT for 44 years, including more than a decade as the agency's director.
