Tulsa County sheriff’s deputies arrested a man Tuesday accused of shooting a teen outside of his home in October.

Reginald Leon Haynes Jr., 22, was charged Friday with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, shooting with intent to kill and using a vehicle in the discharge of a weapon.

Prosecutors allege Haynes shot a 17-year-old in the stomach during an altercation outside of the teen’s home in the 4500 block of North Kenosha Avenue on Oct. 3.

Police said the shooting victim was playing basketball on a neighborhood street when a car nearly hit him and his brother. The driver, Haynes, threatened the victim, left and allegedly returned with a gun 30 minutes later.

He’s also accused of shooting at three other people, including another minor, at the scene.

A judge issued a warrant for Haynes’ arrest, and he was apprehended Tuesday afternoon.
