OKLAHOMA CITY - Despite suffering its first loss of the season, Oklahoma narrowly remains No. 1 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 poll after four weeks.

The Sooners (18-1) received 10 first-place votes after going 3-1 over the weekend. They suffered their first loss of the season on Saturday to the then-No. 25 Nebraska Cornhuskers, a 1-0 defeat in Norman.

Defending national champion Alabama (22-0) was just two points behind OU and also earned 10 first-place votes. The Crimson Tide went 6-0 last weekend including four run-rule victories as they hosted the Easton Classic in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

The University of Tulsa (15-5) fell two spots and is ranked 21st in the poll.

Oklahoma's doubleheader at Wichita State, originally scheduled for Wednesday, has been postponed to March 27 due to field conditions at Wilkins Stadium.

The games still will be played at 3 and 5 p.m. on the new date.

Oklahoma's season continues this weekend as it hosts Northern Colorado and Drake at Marita Hynes Field in a pair of doubleheaders on Friday and Saturday. Game one of Friday's twinbill is set for 3:30 p.m. Original Print Headline: OU softball still No. 1 despite loss
