BOK Center general manager John Bolton celebrates six years in Tulsa this month. The Alabama-raised Green Country transplant falls more in love with the place the longer he's here.
Back in 2007, he was the first employee hired when SMG Tulsa opened shop - and management duties - for the BOK Center and the Tulsa Convention Center.
Last February, industry tracker Pollstar named him the best in the world when it awarded him the 2012 Pollstar Facility Executive of the Year. It was his third time to win the award since coming to Tulsa.
Late last year, SMG earned a prestigious spot on Oklahoma Magazine's list of "2012 Great Companies to Work For."
He's more than an executive. He's a traveler, a foodie and a true music lover. He's often spotted out and about at other concert venues, taking in concerts in his free time.
