Tulsa police write 143 tickets in five-hour speeding crackdown

The Tulsa Police Motorcycle Unit issued more than 140 citations, including almost 100 for speeding, during a speed enforcement effort Thursday.
According to a news release, officers patrolled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Broken Arrow Expressway and north on U.S. 169.
Police said that the enforcement area was the 9000 east block of the BA to the 3600 north block of 169.
Police said officers issued a total of 143 citations, including 99 for speeding and 44 for driver's license and insurance violations.
